The Company is 100% private company with Anglo/Romanian owners, who together have 60 years experience in the wine business.

Vineyards& investments: Established in 1998, the company now owns 700 hectares of vineyards surrounding the winery, situated in the apellation of Recas, a small town in western Romania, in the Banat region, close to Hungarian border. Half of these vineyards are new plantations, made in the last 7 years with high quality clones from top international and Romanian varieties.

Investments: More than 10 million Euros has been invested in new vineyards-, state of the art winery with a capacity for fully automatic temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel for 7 million litres of wine, and also in a fully renovated visitors centre with tasting rooms and restaurant.
Grape varieties grown: Cabernet sauvignon, ,Syrah, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon Feteasca Neagra,  Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Feteasca Regala and Muscat Ottonel, Australian Hartley Smithers, a veteran of 20 years of winemaking around the world, oversees the harvesting and winemaking, as well as our continuous investment program in the winery. Latest (2008) investments consist of a state of the art laboratory, cross flow filtration, and an additional barrique aging cellar , which brings our current level of new oak barriques to over 500  mainly from Transylvanian Oak which suits our wines perfectly.
